Medical disclaimer

The Vitality Review is an educational research library. It is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for your own clinician.

Last updated 30 July 2026

The information on this site is for education and information only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

This is not advice for you

Nothing here is written for you specifically. We do not know your history, your medications, your test results or your risks. Reading this site does not create a doctor and patient relationship with anyone at The Vitality Review or Oakman, and we cannot answer personal health questions by email.

Specifically, we cannot:

  • Diagnose a condition you have
  • Recommend a treatment for you
  • Provide a medical consultation
  • Prescribe a medication or a therapy
  • Interpret your test results or your symptoms

Talk to a clinician before you change anything

Please speak to a qualified clinician before you start, stop or change a treatment, a medication or a supplement. That matters most if you take prescription medication, if you have a diagnosed condition, or if you are already being seen about your fertility.

If you think you have a medical emergency, do not use this site. Call your local emergency number, in the United States 911, or go to the nearest emergency department.

What research can and cannot tell you

Some pages here describe a single study. Others bring several studies together to answer a question men commonly ask. Both have limits worth keeping in mind.

  • One study is not consensus. Findings get refined, overturned, and sometimes fail to repeat.
  • The people studied may not be like you. Age, health, body size, medication and genetics all change how much a result has to say about you.
  • Research changes. A summary reflects the papers as published. Newer work may have moved past them.

How our summaries are checked

Our summaries are written with AI assistance, under editorial standards set by editors who hold medical degrees. Those standards are enforced by automated checks that run on every summary, and anything they flag is read by a medical editor before it publishes. Our editors hold medical degrees and do not practice medicine, so their review is an editorial check on accuracy rather than a clinical opinion.

Not every summary is reviewed by a medical professional before it is published, and nothing on this site is professional medical advice.

AI can be wrong, and so can editors. If you find something inaccurate, tell us at oakmanhealth@gmail.com and we will look at it.

Who publishes this

The Vitality Review is published by Oakman, a men’s health brand that sells sauna and other health products. We think you should know that while you read.

Our summaries do not mention or recommend Oakman products, and nothing here is a claim that any product diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any condition.

Using this site

Decisions about your health are yours, and we ask you to take anything that matters to a qualified clinician. We link out to the original papers and to the journals that published them, and we do not control those sites.

Specific health warnings

Trying to conceive, pregnancy and nursing

Fertility is a large part of this library, and much of that research concerns couples rather than one person. If you and your partner are trying to conceive, or your partner is pregnant or nursing, take anything you read here to the clinician who is already involved before you change what either of you is doing.

Children and teenagers

This site is written about adult men and nothing on it is intended for use in children or teenagers. Parents and guardians should speak to a pediatrician or another qualified clinician about a young person’s health rather than working from research summarized here.

Existing conditions

If you have a diagnosed condition, a chronic illness, or you are taking regular medication, treat everything here with extra caution. Research in generally healthy men can behave very differently in someone who is being treated for something, and your clinician is the person who knows which applies to you.

Interactions

Supplements, large changes in diet, heat exposure and new training can all interact with medication and with existing conditions. Ask your clinician or your pharmacist about interactions before you add something, and tell them what you are already taking.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • The Vitality Review and Oakman, together with their operators, contributors and affiliates, are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of this website.
